Los Altos CA freshman Lauren Soobrian placed third in the 5-kilometer girls seeded race in 17:49.3 at the Capital Cross Challenge at Arcade Creek Golf Course in Sacramento, Calif. Soobrian has placed in the top three in all three of her races this season.
